It has been a busy month for the Journey. A representative of the Journey attended weekend masses on successive weeks at St. Jerome's, Holy Family and St. Veronica?s Parishes to explain the Journey to Parishioners. Many of the Parishioners expressed their hope their prayers and their support for its success. A very successful Garage Sale and Fall Harvest was held at St. Jerome's on September 20
th and 21
st with all proceeds donated to the Journey. The Knights of Columbus held its first Pasta and Meatball Dinner and the Marconi Club held its first Porketta Night, both in support of the Journey.
Events:
1. The Huron Superior Catholic District School Board, the Bishop and all area Pastors invite all Catholics to a Thanksgiving Day Mass on
Monday, October 13th to be held at the Essar Centre @10am. The Bishop will celebrate Mass and Sister, a celebrated speaker, will be the guest speaker. The theme of the Mass is Serving As One. There will be a food collection with donations going into a yellow school bus outside the main entrance to the Essar Centre prior the Mass. Proceeds will go to the local food banks. This is an example of the encouragement of our Pope and Bishop to re-energize Catholicism in our community as espoused in the Journey. Let.s invite all of our friends and family.
2. Women in Fellowship are inviting women to join them at St. Veronica?s Church on Tuesday evenings (from October 7 ? November 25 from 7pm to 9pm) for coffee/tea, sweets, learning a new craft, and enjoying conversation with women in the community. Registration on October 7
